Mobile App Redesign

Live365 Radio App allows listeners to easily find perfect station for any musical taste enabling the discover of music and talk content you won’t find or hear anywhere else.

The Challenge

The task called for a redesign of the current mobile listening app. Analytics showed that we needed to improve the discoverability of our top, trending, recommended and local stations. Our users also requested for more ways to personalized the app.

The Process

The process started by collecting user feedback from a small number of broadcasters. The feedback were conducted through quick phone calls and online questionnaires. Storyboards and wireframes were developed afterwards. Another usability test with a small group of listeners was conducted using paper prototypes. At the end of the process, I had a clearer idea of what the users wanted and what we can deliver to meet their needs.

The Solution

To meet the needs of the users, a Feature section was added on the home screen. Users were also able to personalize the home screen by selecting the music genres they prefer to display as default. A set of background image gallery were also added for user to select the background mood of their liking. A set of high fidelity design mockups were created to show what the app will look like when developed.
